Woman on life support after being stabbed by her friend during fight, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A woman is in the hospital after she was stabbed in the head by a friend overnight, the Houston Police Department said.

Officers responded to the stabbing call at about 3 a.m. on Thursday at an apartment complex on Seaspray Court, which is in the Lazybrook/Timbergrove neighborhood.

According to police, two women who were friends got into a fight when one of them grabbed a knife and stabbed the other in the head.

The stabbing victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition and is currently on life support, a lieutenant with HPD said.

HPD said the suspect remained at the scene.
